Another nice set of kilometres on the bike today. The first part was my DPNB (bike to work) ride. I rode with Rene Peiger to Rača and then continued to the city centre for work duties. After that I headed back home in beautiful sunny weather through Jurava.
Later I went back to Jurava again because I wanted to make the most of the good weather, and Juraj Holík and I planned to ride across the Lužný Bridge and back. However, our plans were cut short by my crash on the cycle path just past the airport, where I slipped on loose gravel on the concrete path while turning onto a small bridge.
Thanks to Juraj for the first aid and for accompanying me to Jur. I’m glad it wasn’t anything serious, just bruises and scrapes, with my elbow taking the worst of it. From Jur I rode home on my own, the ride felt fine, and once home my caring sister looked after me. Hopefully everything heals well. 🙏😇
