Hey,
I'm not sure if anyone here speaks English. I am from Halifax, Canada
I'm comming to Slovakia this summer to visit my family. Both of my parents are from Slovakia, so all of my family still lives there.
I am planning on bringing my bike with me. I mostly just freeride (jumps and drops) I'll be staying in Piestany. Is anybody on this website from Piestany? Is there good places or trails to ride? Is there any good places or trails outside of Piestany to ride? Is there any DH courses in Slovakia? I bet the Tatras would be an awesome place a DH course.

Any help would be appriciated.

I am from Piestany. I think there is a plenty of good trails around here. Well, come and see.

The dates are not confirmed yet, but I'll mostly likely be arriving near the end of August and staying for about 3 weeks.
Are the trails mostly XC style, or are there any freeride trails, with jumps and drops?
Is there any good things to ride in the city (drops and jumps)? Also, do the people in Piestany usually accept people jumping off of things in the city or do they usually kick the bikers out?

Well, I ride XC and there is a lot to ride here. But i know many DH-bikers and I believe that they know (and so do I) many DH trails here.

I do not think that Piestany Cops will be glad to see you jumping off of something, they have never seen such a trick

. So they wont be very friendly

I'd like to ride some of the DH trails. Where are they located? Do you know where I could find some pictures of people riding the trails?
